Have you ever wanted to enjoy a better quality of the sound without having to worry about upgrading costs to a professional soundcard and to buy extra specialized hardware (like 7.1 sound systems)? Here’s an idea: you could buy the 7.1 channel adaptor from Brando that can bring some real entertainment in the audio environment of your PC unit or your notebook. The USB 2.0 device has a rather compact design and I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that there is a C-Media audio processor chip inside, because the device works best if used with Xear3D Sound stimulation software: I had a motherboard in my old computer that used a Xear3D device driver – and the audio chip was made by C-Media, and I was very pleased by the quality of the sound, even if it was a motherboard-integrated audio card. And that is why I am saying that I am sure this small gadget can bring out the best in terms of virtual sound software and can really boost the audio quality for a very small price. Judging by the black design and the robust buttons, this USB-soundcard (it can replace an actual sound card!) was really well built – there are 2 keys for volume adjustment and an on-off mute button. At the back there’s the green output jack and the red input jack. Thus, you can connect your headphones in the green jack and enjoy the virtual 7.1 sound and also plug in a microphone in the mono-input red-colored jack. The USB device does not require any additional external power and it is plug-and-play, there are no device drivers required. In the package there is however a CD with Xear3D Sound stimulation software. The price is $15 and can be bought from Brando’s website.
